Needs New Batteries

Jamie's out of town and we were trying to video chat before Kaylee went to bed, but the program we were trying to use wasn't working for us tonight. Kaylee said, "not working very well. Needs new batteries." Back story: she has a Spider-Man toy that sings songs and dances when you push the buttons on his feet. A couple months ago, Spider-Man wasn't working right, we said it probably needed new batteries, but found that if we turned it over and hit it on the feet (2 batteries in each foot) it would work again for a little while. So we did the hitting it on the feet thing for a while until the batteries completely died on us, then we replaced them. So since then, Kaylee thinks anything that doesn't work right needs batteries. Even her sippy cups. She finished her milk one day, then turned it over and hit it on the bottom while saying, "needs new batteries." So if you come over and she turns a Lego over and hits it because she can't get it to stack right, that's what she's doing. Trying to get it to work again. :)

The next time she's crabby, maybe you should tap the bottom of her feet and say "Not working well. Needs new batteries." Wonder what her reaction would be?

Love you all! Gramma Mary Jane
