Sticky Hair & Pillows

Kaylee was eating her dinner (avocado and banana...a winning combo :) ) and I was eating an apple the other day. So of course she wanted it. I peeled and cored one for her and she loved taking bites...and rubbing it in her hair. By the way, she ate over 2/3 of the banana (all but a bad spot I broke off), 1/2 an avocado and a little less than 1/2 of the apple, plus her milk, Apparently she was hungry!

Kaylee likes to pull the pillows off the couch (or floor, where they usually are these days) and lie and roll around on them, usually one at a time. So I put 3 together and she had fun lying and rolling across them all together - 2nd photo is an action shot mid-roll. :)

That is a lot to eat compared to our 5oz which is our limit at the moment.
By the way, which park are the photos taken at?

Elena loves avocados and bananas too. I think that and blueberries were pretty much what she existed on last week during spring break. That's great that Kaylee is such a good eater. Elena is only now starting to show interest in trying the foods we're eating. At least Kaylee will do a test bite - Elena won't even do that most of the time. She takes one look at what's on the fork, and if it's not something she recognizes, she says "uh-uh" and won't even try it.

A tip on the scrambled eggs - Elena LOVES it with sausage mixed in. She'll eat at least double the amount if there's sausage in it versus plain scrambled egg. I know sausage is not the healthiest food, but since she really doesn't eat any other protein, I view this as her protein source for the day.

Helen - ahh, 5 oz days...yes, very long past that over here! We just went to the Shiloh Farms subdivisons' playground (sshhhh! :) ), since Kaylee only likes the swings.

Diedre - Good tip on mixing in the sausage! Will have to try it. Kaylee is getting more picky; she used to eat anything but now won't eat most meats (haven't tried breakfast sausage, actually) other than sliced turkey or ham. We can sneak in some meat chopped or cut up in spaghetti, and she did enjoy a few bites of Jamie's Great Wraps gyro meat today, but otherwise she's not too into it. Guess she's just got to figure out what she likes and doesn't. We can't even say the word banana, though, unless we have one to give her - we have to call it yellow fruit - otherwise she gets upset! :)
