Snow

Wednesday afternoon we went to my grandparents' house and Kaylee and PawPaw spent quite a while jumping off the fireplace ledge. As you can see, there's a fire going, but she knew not to go near it. She'd say "fire hot hot hot!" and kept her distance (plus we were watching her of course!!). She also thought it was funny to wear Memaw's earmuffs and a Mickey sticker on her nose. She's heard too much Rudolph lately - she was calling it her "shiny nose."

Photos of Kaylee out in the snow (not much on the ground yet, but flurries in the air). She enjoyed opening her mouth and sticking out her tongue to try to catch and eat the snow. She got tired of her hat and hood and pulled them off for a while before we went in; you can see some of the flurries in her hair. The blue rain boots are the ones she got from Erin early this week - just in time for snow!!

In other news, her last canine tooth (bottom left) finally broke through on Friday. The 4 canines aren't completely in yet, but she now has 16 teeth and is just waiting on her 2nd year molars! Luckily she's been the easiest teether I've heard of! We didn't know she was teething until her first ones had nearly broken through (at 7.5ish months), and that was just from seeing the gums stretched out and a bit white. And lately she's been telling us she needs Orajel and has been chewing on her fingers and teething toy, but otherwise no complaints - I'd heard horror stories, so I'm very relieved not to have dealt with anything major!

We're glad you got to enjoy the snow Kaylee! Elena has only encountered the fake snow (soap bubbles) at Disneyland, and she didn't care for it.

Elena loves to jump off of any raised surface too!
